Terms of Service

Last updated: April 24, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Outworx Docs. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. We've tried to keep the language plain — if anything isn't clear, email us at info@outworx.io.

01.What we provide

Outworx Docs (“we,” “us”) is a hosted service that turns an OpenAPI, Swagger, or GraphQL specification you provide into a public or private docs site. Features include a Try It playground, code snippets, AI- powered chat, search, auto-generated endpoint descriptions, auto-sync from a URL, custom branding, custom domains, and usage analytics.

Available plans, their limits, and their prices are listed on the pricing page. We may introduce new plans, change limits, or adjust pricing. Price changes apply to new subscriptions; existing subscriptions stay on their current rate for the remainder of their billing period.

02.Your account

You must provide accurate information when signing up and are responsible for keeping your account secure. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account — including content uploaded by anyone you share your credentials with.

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion permanently removes your projects, specs, chat sessions, and any associated data within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for details.

03.Your content

You retain all rights to the API specifications, descriptions, images, and other content you upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, display, transform, and serve Your Content solely to operate the service for you and your visitors.

You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload Your Content and that it doesn't violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

04.AI features

AI features (chat, search, auto-generated descriptions, code examples) are powered by third-party large language model providers, currently OpenAI. When you or your docs visitors use these features, the relevant content (including the question, the retrieved context from your spec, and any stored conversation history) is sent to that provider to generate a response.

Usage is subject to the limits published on the pricing page, which may change. Free plans have a monthly request cap; paid plans have daily token budgets that reset at UTC midnight. Rate limits apply to all AI endpoints to prevent abuse.

AI-generated output is probabilistic and may be inaccurate. You shouldn't rely on it for critical decisions without reviewing the underlying spec. We aren't liable for consequences of relying on AI-generated content.

05.Acceptable use

Don't use the service to:

  • Host content that is illegal, infringing, or defamatory
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or plan quotas (we reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts that do)
  • Scrape, probe, or overload the service in ways that interfere with availability for others
  • Resell the service under a different brand without our written agreement
  • Use AI features to generate spam, abuse, or malware

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

06.Billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. We use Stripe to process payments — we don't see or store your card details.

Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge for the remainder of your current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your current plan features until then.

You can cancel at any time from your Settings page or via the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops auto-renewal; your plan continues until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't offer refunds for partial periods, but reach out if something unusual happened and we'll do our best.

Failed payments trigger retries per Stripe's dunning logic. If payment fails for long enough, your subscription is cancelled and your plan drops to Free. Projects beyond the Free limit become unpublished but aren't deleted.

07.Availability and warranty

We'll use reasonable efforts to keep the service running, but we don't guarantee uptime. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We make no promises that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

Scheduled maintenance or emergency fixes may cause brief downtime. We'll try to announce planned downtime in advance.

08.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We aren't liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

09.Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. If we terminate your paid plan without cause, we'll refund the unused portion of your current billing period.

Sections covering Your Content, AI, liability, and governing law survive termination.

10.Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we'll email account holders or post a notice on the dashboard at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that counts as acceptance.

11.Contact and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction Outworx Docs is incorporated in. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by your local consumer-protection law.

These terms are a good-faith starting point and will be refined as the service matures. If you're relying on them for legal review before a purchase, email us and we'll send you the latest version signed.
